For 12 years, I’ve had one job: supporting people see what they couldn’t see before.

I’m the CEO and Co-Founder of WOW Academy, a business coaching and leadership school where roughly 20,000 people have trained over two and a half decades — entrepreneurs, executives, and the management teams of more than 250 companies. Today I also train and certify the next generation of coaches to carry this work forward.

And I fly planes. I’m earning my private pilot’s license, and the sky has become my greatest teacher. Aviation runs on distinctions — the difference between confidence and arrogance, trust and agreement, courage and recklessness — and it does not forgive confusion between them. Neither, it turns out, does life. You’ll find the sky throughout my writing.

I live by four values my family calls LAVA: Love, Adventure, Value Creators, Action Takers. Everything I build — the academy, the book, the coaching — comes from them.

The Distinctionary is the book version of the work I’ve done in coaching rooms for 12 years: fifty distinctions that move you from survival to an elevated life. It’s the dictionary that was never written — until now.
